It was founded in 2010 by Rebecca Newenham who, coming from a corporate background, was looking for a business that was compatible with her family life. After reviewing the way the economic landscape was changing, Rebecca saw a clear need and opportunity in supplying affordable, flexible and seamless support services to organisations of all types in various different sectors.

Eight years on, the company is now a nationwide agency, with a team of more than 30 Virtual Assistants (VAs). It provides a much-needed service to over 100 clients across the UK and is considered the go-to, one stop shop for business owners. But it’s not just Get Ahead VA’s clients and their teams that benefit from flexible working – it’s their virtual assistants too. In 2017 the business launched its franchise model to allow other people the chance to develop their own flexible business.
