Typefaces

I'm currently in discussions with the Directors of my company regarding the font typeface for letters and reports. One of the Directors is quite set in his ways and unwilling to change from Times New Roman (which seems quite old fashioned these days). Another Director likes Arial, but we are not able to find any common ground between these two opinions. I tried Calibri (which most new machines supplied with Word seem to default to). Has anybody got any views on what is the most popular/up-to-date/acceptable typeface?

Our corporate standard is 'Century Gothic' size 10.

Hi, we tend to favour Arial

Hi, we tend to favour Arial and usually size 11, but depends on the length of the letter. We are a biotech company.

Our company uses arial, on a global basis.
We are a Leisure Travel and Corporate Traven Agency.
This is modern, easy to read and looks great when consistently used by everyone.
